T Manners & Sons Ltd; appointed as Main Contractors for new 210 place primary school

T Manners & Sons Ltd; have been awarded with the contract to build a new school at the site of St Cuthbert’s RC Primary School, Crook, Co. Durham, for the Diocese of Hexham & Newcastle. The 210 place school is valued at £2.7m and will take almost a year to complete. It incorporates a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and has been designed by architects Sylvester Ashton Partnership.
Whilst being heavily involved in the education sector for many years, this will be the first completely new school the company will have built, “This contract will consolidate our position in this sector of the market and sits well with our business plan for 2007” says Managing Director, Robert Manners.
Work is due to start on this project in June 2007 and is scheduled for completion by May 2008.
