Refurbishment of 40 West Sunniside, Sunderland

40 West Sunniside, Sunderland is a Grade II listed building within the city centre which required a complete refurbishment.

As always with this type of building we ventured a little into the unknown and although we encountered many problems, the client, Sunderland Housing Group, expressed their complete satisfaction at the outcome.

Providing residential accommodation to the first and second floors and retail units to the ground floor, the project was designed by Jane Darbyshire & David Kendall Ltd. to achieve an accord with the original structure.
