New Cataract Theatre, City of Sunderland NHS Trust

This project called for the refurbishment of 55 existing rooms as well as the building of a further eight rooms as an extension to the Eye Infirmary which included their new operating theatre.

It was the first partnered project we had entered into with this particular NHS Trust and the works were completed in six months.

It now provides a state-of- the-art facility enabling each cataract operation to be completed within twenty minutes.
